About Me
My name is James and I started Ceredigion Piano Tutor in September 2016 with the aim of helping people of all ages and abilities improve their musical skills.

Originally from Reading, I moved to Tregaron in 2002 and have lived here ever since, attending Tregaron and Penglais schools, where I learned to speak Welsh fluently. I completed a degree in Chemistry from Bangor University and graduated in 2014.

I am a passionate pianist and I have been playing since 1997- age four. This love of music drove me to start teaching and I hope to inspire others and bring them the pleasure that music gives me.

My teaching style is friendly, very patient and I draw from many sources for teaching material- fun and engaging pieces for children, interesting and satisfying pieces and exercises for adults and just about everything in between. I would list my favourite composers as Debussy, Chopin and Tchaikovsky.
